Every year we’re privileged to baptise many new converts. One recent convert is a man I met in 2018 while running a program in Macuba Prison, Mozambique.
Sacur, born into a Muslim family in 1976, was strongly opposed to Christianity. In 2017 he was imprisoned in Mocuba for selling elephant horns and sentenced to four years. I met him during my evangelism programs but sadly he refused to accept Jesus as his saviour at the end.
After the program, he asked for a Bible, the book he had hated for years. I gave him one and left with a prayer that he would one day find Christ. During his three years in prison, he read the Bible twice. Upon his release, Sacur continued his Muslim faith, as he was influential in his mosque.
In April 2025, two men in white appeared to him in a dream, urging him to continue reading the Bible. Two weeks later, he had the same dream. By chance, he met our Bible worker and they began Bible studies. Today, Sacur is baptised and faithfully attends church with his wife and children. The pictures show him being baptised and receiving a new Bible.
Thank you again for your support and prayers that help make these conversions possible.
